NeuroSTAmP
What is NeuroSTAmP?
At its core, a System-specific Transactional Anonymous PIN (NeuroSTAmP) is the same as a NeuroGUID™…a unique identifier for a patient. The difference is that a NeuroSTAmP is application specific, so a patient may have many NeuroSTAmPs that link back to a single NeuroGUID™. NeuroSTAmPs are used in places where using a GUID may potentially re-identify a patient, i.e.: in a database that also contains the patient's name, or social security number, or phone number (mobile apps). The benefit of using NeuroSTAmPs is that they provide another layer of anonymization and protection against someone being able to reidentify a patient.
